# NovaSeq X Series On-Prem v1.1.0

Release Date: April 2026

These Release Notes describe the key changes to software components for the Clarity LIMS NovaSeq X Series On Premise Integration Package version 1.1.0.

## Compatibility

Refer to [Compatibility](/clarity-lims/instruments-and-integrations/compatibility.md#novaseq-x-series) under Instruments & Integrations.

## New Features

Features provided with this release of the integration package are as follows.

* Create planned runs without analysis (Generate BCLs only)
* Sequencing run metrics are now displayed per-run and per-lane in the AUTOMATED - Sequencing Run step
* Added support for NovaSeq X 5B flow cell types
* Added support for NovaSeq X 1.5B flow cell with 600 cycle kit
* New NovaSeq X Series On-Prem Sequencing v2.0 workflow available on Illumina Preset Protocols v2.12.
* The Make Bulk Pool and Calculate Volumes automation scripts have been updated to align with the latest NovaSeq X Series System Sequencing Protocol.

## Enhancement

* The integration supports --bcl-sampleproject-subdirectories option of BCL Convert.
* Both indexed and pooled libraries are now supported as input for the NovaSeq X v2.0 sequencing protocol.

## Defects Fixed

* Fixed Calculation automation on Dilute and Denature step

## Known Limitations

* Tracks only the analysis configured with the planned run. Does not track analysis requeue or analysis triggered externally with the same planned run.
* The integration does not support pools with samples assigned with Analysis Configuration Templates from different instruments.
* BCL autodetect is not supported
* The override cycles will shows 151 cycles instead of 301 cycles for Read 1 and Read 2 when choosing TruSeq PCR-Free kit and TruSeq Nano Library Prep Kit with 1.5B flowcell with 600 cycle kit. Refer to [NovaSeq X Series On-Prem Integration v1.1.0 User Interaction, Validation and Troubleshooting](/clarity-lims/instruments-and-integrations/novaseq-x-series/novaseqx-onprem/novaseqx-onprem-v1.1.0-release-notes/novaseqx-onprem-v1.1.0-user-interaction-validation-and-troubleshooting.md#values-in-override-cycles-is-different-from-read-lengths-in-the-run-review-page) for troubleshooting guide.
