Install Connected Insights - Local Software
The Connected Insights - Local software installation process can take approximately 45–60 minutes based on network speed.
Login to application using the administrator user.
Select the Software Update page under Administration Console.
On the right-side pane, choose one of the package source options below based on where the packages are available. This package source depends on how you downloaded and made the files accessible to the DRAGEN server v4 (as instructed by the section Download Connected Insights - Local software packages).
DRAGEN server v4 path
/staging/sw_packages/
Mounted external storage drive (e.g. NAS) located at
/mnt/<MountFolder>/sw_packages/
USB device connected and mounted to the DRAGEN server v4 (e.g., located in
/media/usbinstall/)
Click Check for Updates.
The application displays the compatible Connected Insights - Local software package with an Install Now button.
❗ Install All option is not provided when a compatible Connected Insights - Local software package is available under the selected package source location. In such cases, the Connected Insights - Local software must be installed followed by the dependent packages.
Select Install Now.
A confirmation pop-up will appear displaying the approximate time for installing or updating the selected package(s) and states the application will be inaccessible during this time.
Click Install Now in the confirmation pop-up.
During the install or update process, the application is inaccessible and displays the Update progress with a timer. After the install or update is completed, Go to Sign In button will appear.
Select Go to Sign In button, and login to the application.
Upon successful sign in, you will see 2 notifications. These notifications will continue to display until Installation steps 6 and 7 from Overview , Step 6 (Install License File ) and Step 7 (Install Annotations, Genome Data Reference and Knowledge Bases packages from Software updates page. For instructions, refer to Software Updates ) are completed.
Connected Insights license has not been setup. Go to
Administration Console -> Software Update
-> Local Computer, install <SerialNumber>-SetupLicense.bin first, followed by <SerialNumber>-QuotaLicense.bin file.
One or more required packages are not installed. Go to
Administration Console -> Software Update
to install.
If installation fails
If the installation fails or an error occurs, application attempts to revert the installation and retry installation can be attempted. If you must reinstall, refer to Software Errors and Corrective Actions.
