# Self Test

DRAGEN Spatial Transcriptome on DAM includes a self-test to verify that everything is working correctly.

#### Running the Test

The installation files include `run_self_test.sh` and `self_test_items.tar.gz`. To run the test, execute the self-test script. Example:

```bash
cd /staging/<path-to-installation-files>/
./run_self_test.sh
```

#### What the Self-Test Does

1. **Extracts test data** from the included archive.
2. **Runs a complete analysis** using the mm39 reference genome.
3. **Verifies all outputs** are generated correctly.
4. **Cleans up** test data after successful completion.

#### Self-Test Options

| Option              | Description                              |
| ------------------- | ---------------------------------------- |
| `--output-dir NAME` | Custom output directory name             |
| `--dry-run`         | Generate the payload only; don't execute |
| `--help`            | Show help message                        |

#### Expected Results

A successful self-test will show:
