Installation
System Requirements
Operating System
Windows 11+
MacOS 14+ (Apple Silicon)
Memory
Minimum memory: 16 GB
Recommended memory: 32 GB or higher, for larger, more complex images
Memory requirements scale with image size and resolution. For example, a 10 x 10 mm image with 0.4 pixels/μm and 3 color channels occupies approximately 1.7 GB of memory.
CPU
Designed to perform efficiently on most multi-core CPUs.
Utilizes optimized libraries like OpenCV for image processing.
Lower-end processors may result in slower processing times, but tasks should still complete successfully.
GPU
Not mandatory, but beneficial for advanced image rendering and visualization via deck.gl.
Enhances smoothness of image visualizations.
Disk
Illumina StrataMap Image Tool requires 4.5 times the disk space of the input image file for processing. For example, a 1 GB image requires 4.5 GB of disk space.
Network
Network connection is required for exporting sample files directly to the cloud. This is the recommended method, offering greater convenience and streamlined workflows.
Alternatively, if a connection is unavailable or if cloud export is not desired, ISIT provides an option to locally export sample files.
