# Cases table navigation panel

The Cases table navigation panel provides several tools to help you customize your table view and manage cases. It includes the following components:

  Use this to narrow down the list of cases.
* [Group by](/emedgene/emedgene-analyze-manual/getting_around_the_platform/cases_tab/how-to-group-cases.md) menu\
  Organize your cases by case status
* [Fields](/emedgene/emedgene-analyze-manual/getting_around_the_platform/cases_tab/how-to-customize-cases-table-view.md) menu\
  Choose which columns are visible in the table and define their order
* [Empty trash](/emedgene/emedgene-analyze-manual/getting_around_the_platform/cases_tab/how-to-delete-cases.md) button

  Permanently delete cases currently in the trash. Use with caution, as this action cannot be undone
