Presets tab
The Presets tab in the Filtering panel displays the presets available for the current case. The tab contains two sections, one for each preset type.
Presets tab sections
Preset group
The Preset group section contains the presets from the preset group selected for the case. Use this section to follow a standard analytical strategy.
The section name matches the selected preset group.
Presets are created by saving active filter conditions.
Presets are managed through Settings and are available across cases in the organization.
Gene lists
The Gene lists section contains gene list–based presets. These presets include only gene filters, so they are a special case of presets. Use this section to restrict analysis to genes of interest.
Gene list–based presets are created within the case by applying a predefined gene list.
Gene list–based presets are available only in the current case. However, you can recreate the same preset in another case by selecting the same gene list again.
What you can do in this tab
Create a preset: Save active filters as a preset for cross-case reuse or restrict results by a gene list.
Apply a preset: Use a saved preset to filter variants.
View preset logic: Expand a preset to inspect its filtering conditions.
Refine preset results with variant search: Narrow results with ad hoc search queries.
Mark a preset as reviewed: Track preset review progress in the current case.
Create a custom preset group: Save a case-specific variation of the preset group for reuse within the current case.
Actions
When the Presets tab is selected, click the vertical ellipsis () in the upper-left corner to open the actions menu. From this menu, you can:
Reset to default
Clears any ad hoc refinement filters applied through variant search on top of the preset group. This action does not modify the presets themselves.
Note: The Reset to default action in the Presets tab behaves differently from the one in the Filters tab, where it clears all active filters and applies default filtering conditions.
Save as custom preset group
Creates a custom preset group by refining the preset group through Variant search. Custom preset groups are stored in the Custom tab and are available only within the current case.
