Creating a preset
Use this page for instructions on how to create a filter-based or gene list–based preset.
Creating a filter-based preset
Filter-based presets are created from the active filters you apply in a case.
Open a case.
In the Filtering panel, go to the Filters tab.
In the upper-left corner of the Filters tab, open the actions menu ().
Select Clear to remove all filters, including the default filters.
Apply the filter conditions you want to save.
In the upper-left corner of the Filters tab, open the actions menu ().
Select Save as preset.
Enter a name for the preset.
Note:
Presets cannot be renamed once saved!
Use only Latin characters (ISO-8859-1) to ensure compatibility across systems and avoid issues when exporting JSON definitions.
Select Save.
Result: The new filter-based preset is saved in Lab workflow settings and becomes available for use in preset groups.
Important: For a filter-based preset to appear in a case, it must belong to the preset group applied to that case.
Creating a gene list–based preset
Gene list–based presets are created from gene lists within the current case.
Open a case.
In the Filtering panel, go to the Presets tab.
Locate the Gene lists section (scroll down if needed).
Next to the section title, select Add.
Select one or more gene lists to use for filtering. You can browse or search by gene list name.
Select Save to confirm your selection.
Result: For each selected gene list, a new gene list–based preset appears under Presets → Gene lists. These presets are available only in the current case.
