Update in Curate

You can update an existing Curate record with revised interpretation data from the current Analyze session. This action is available for variants that have a record in Curate.

How to update a variant in Curate

Open the Variant page in Analyze.

From the Curate actions dropdown, select Update.

The Curate actions dropdown in Analyze.

If the Update action is unavailable, confirm that the variant already exists in Curate and that you have proper permissions.

Result:

The variant record in Curate is updated with details from the current Analyze session, including:

• Pathogenicity
• Variant interpretation
• Gene‑related disease (unless custom)
• Selected transcript (unless custom)
• ACMG data (classification, score, tags, tag strength, tag notes)

Important: Custom fields are not overwritten.
