This section explains the Curate actions available from the Variant page top bar in Analyze.

Curate actions in Analyze

Add

Use Add to store a new variant in Curate for reuse across cases. The option is inactive if the variant is already in Curate.

Update (v38.0+)

Use Update to sync data from Analyze to an existing Curate variant. The option is available in v38.0 and above for variants that have a record in Curate.

Open

Use Open to open the variant’s page in Curate. The option is active for variants that have a record in Curate.

Curate actions are grouped in a dropdown menu.	Curate actions are displayed as individual buttons.
Available actions: Add Update Open	Available actions: Export to Curate (replaced by Add in v38.0 and above) Open Curate (replaced by Open in v38.0 and above) Update is not available in this version.
All actions are shown. Some actions are inactive based on whether the variant exists in Curate and on your permissions.	Only one button is shown at a time. Which button appears depends on whether the variant already exists in Curate. Whether the button is active depends on your permissions.
