# Exporting a variant from Analyze

You can export a variant from the **Variant page** in **Analyze** to **Curate**.

## How to export a variant to Curate

**Prerequisites:** The variant must have a [tag](/emedgene/emedgene-analyze-manual/variant_page/variant_page_top_bar/variant_tagging_widget.md) and assigned [pathogenicity](/emedgene/emedgene-analyze-manual/variant_page/evidence_section.md).

Open the **Variant page** in **Analyze**.

Select the export option in the top bar.

From the **Curate actions** dropdown, select **Add**.

Select **Export to Curate**.

**Result:**

* Variant is added to **Curate**.
* The [**Curate Variant page**](/emedgene/emedgene-curate-manual/curate_variants/curate_variant_page.md) opens, where you can add curated interpretation, select a disease, classify the variant using ACMG criteria, and perform additional actions as needed.

## Alternative ways to add variants to Curate
