📖Understanding the BaseSpace HTML reports
Summary results
Sample Information
The Sample Information table summarizes sample QC metrics for all samples in the analysis. Further details on each metric can be found by hovering over each column header.
Rarefaction Curves
The Rarefaction Curves plot shows the relationship between the number of randomly selected reads (or read pairs for paired-end data) and the corresponding number of species they represent. This plot summarizes all samples in the analysis.
Principle Coordinate Analysis
The Principle Coordinate Analysis plot shows samples in a two-dimensional space where the distance between points reflects the dissimilarity between samples. It can be used to gain insights into the relationships between samples and how their microbial communities differ. This plot summarizes all samples in the analysis.
Taxonomic Dendrogram
The Taxonomic Dendrogram diagram shows the hierarchical relationship between samples, including the order in which clusters were merged through hierarchical clustering. This diagram summarizes all samples in the analysis.
Top Identified Genera
The Top Identified Genera plot shows the microbial composition of the top identifid genera across samples. This plot summarizes all samples in the analysis.
Per sample results
Individual sample results can be further explored by clicking on "Report" under each sample name in the panel on the left. There are two tabs in the Sample Report: Taxonomic Analysis, and User Options.
1. Taxonomic Analysis
Version Information is a table with the analysis version, test type, and test version. Running the latest version of the application is recommended.
Sample Information is a table containing sample QC metrics.
Taxonomic Results is a sunburst plot visualizing taxonomic classification results for taxa present with at least 1% abundance.
Classification Statistics is a table summarizing the classification statistics of reads (or read pairs for paired-end data) for each of the seven canonical taxonomic levels.
Rarefaction Curve is a plot showing the relationship between the number of randomly selected reads (or read pairs for paired-end data) and the corresponding number of species they represent.
Top Identified Genera is a plot showing the microbial composition of the top identified genera.
Top Results by Taxonomic Level is a plot showing the microbial composition of the top identifid taxa for each of the seven canonical taxonomic levels.
2. User Options
The User Options table summarizes user options selected during launch of the analysis.
